Limerick City & Environs

Limerick City is 45minutes travelling time from Cashel, the city is located on the estuary of the River Shannon, the longest river in Ireland.

The city has invested a lot of money in recent years cleaning up the area and re-opening some of the historic sites.

The main visits include King John Castle, The Hunt Museum. Bunratty Castle and Folk Park are located outside the city. The castle hosts Medieval Irish Evenings by night and is open to the public by day, the Folk Park re-inacts the life style of the Irish People in Medieval Times.
